About Me

As a psychologist, I recognize that seeking therapy may be a difficult decision. I respect the choice of my clients to pursue change in order to achieve greater life satisfaction. Each individual is unique and brings their own story. I value their experience and work together with them to help bring about the change needed to attain the quality of life they desire.

I moved back to Colorado several years ago and returned to individual therapy after being a tenured professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey. During that time I was the director of the CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters Program where I particularly enjoyed training students through their first clinical experiences of mental health counseling.

My initial clinical work was in the area of trauma treatment and forensic psychology, but also incorporated work with chemical addiction and adults and children in crisis. That work included female adult incest survivors and pro bono work as a Christian counselor. My current clinical focus is informed by EMDR training and also covers anxiety disorders, relational and change of life stage issues.
