About Me

I specialize in working with adolescent and adult males 15 years old and through the lifespan.  My focus, stemming from over 25 years in working with these populations, places emphasis on supporting adolescents and men in exploring their inherent potential through challenging themselves to work through where they are “stuck” on their path towards that potential.

My modes of practice are evidence-based.  Evidence-based psychotherapy models are the gold standard in providing tried-and-true therapy that has been well-researched and proven effective across wide-ranging populations.

Practice: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness training.

  • Learning and working with how thoughts-emotions-behavior responses to negative histories and current events create undesired outcomes and feeling “stuck” on one’s life path
  • Uncovering what can truly motivate clients towards value-driven life goals
    • Common life goals: academic, career, relationship, family connection, community connection, mental health, physical health, self-optimization and actualization
  • Exploring and practicing how to “unstick” what is stuck
  • Leaning towards and practicing meaningful and purposeful action that leads to realizing true aliveness and accomplishment of life goals
